About the Author

Agha Ali Ibrahim Akram (1923–1989), commonly known as A. I. Akram, was a Pakistani military officer and historian. He is best known for his works on early Islamic military history, including The Sword of Allah: Khalid ibn al-Waleed and this series on the early Muslim conquests.
