About the Product
A Comprehensive Guide to the Science of Hadith and Hadith Methodology
This valuable 2-volume commentary provides a detailed explanation of one of the most important classical texts in the science of Hadith: Nuzhatun Nazar fi Tawdih Nukhbat al-Fikr by the renowned hadith master Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani رحمه الله. Widely studied by students of Islamic knowledge across the world, Nuzhatun Nazar remains a foundational text for understanding the principles used by hadith scholars to authenticate, classify, and evaluate prophetic narrations.
While Nuzhatun Nazar itself is Ibn Hajar's explanation of his celebrated primer Nukhbat al-Fikr, its concise style can present challenges for modern readers. Recognising this need, Shaykh Ustadh Suhaib Sirajudin has produced this extensive commentary to clarify complex concepts and make the study of Hadith methodology more accessible to contemporary students.
This work carefully explains the terminology, classifications, and principles developed by the early and later scholars of Hadith, helping readers gain a deeper appreciation of how authentic narrations are distinguished from weak and rejected reports. Through clear explanations and practical insights, the commentary bridges the gap between classical scholarship and modern study.
